Night sensor modules With Long-Pass Filter (LPF)
LPF
All night sensor modules (N12 to N160, black/white) can optionally be ordered with
an LPF (Long-Pass Filter) special lens that features an infrared sensor for ideal license
plate identification during any lighting condition. All LPF sensor modules (except
for L12) can be equipped with an additional polarization filter.
Polarization Filter
The non-hemispheric L25 to L160 sensor modules allow for replacing the screwed-
in lens protection glass with a polarization filter (MOBOTIX accessories). Example:
Identifying persons through the windshield of a car – the filter reduces reflections
on the windshield's surface.

What sets a MOBOTIX day-and-night camera apart from other systems is primarily
that the MOBOTIX camera continuously uses two sensor modules rather than relying
on a mechanical filter switch. This delivers a significantly better image quality in
low-light conditions as a true infrared black-and-white image sensor is used instead
of the usual color sensor with electronic color fade-out.
Equipped with a color and black-and-white sensor module each, M15D and S15D
are aordable and powerful single-camera solutions for application in areas where
lighting conditions vary strongly. The M15D is built such that the sensor modules
of the camera are aligned in parallel, meaning each sensor captures the identical
image area. The convenient DualMount mounting bracket is available for the S15D
(MOBOTIX accessories).
